Don’t dump it, donate it!
Leave Liverpool Tidy is our yearlong project, in collaboration with British Heart Foundation and Fareshare, that helps give you opportunities to donate your unwanted items and transform your trash into someone else’s treasure. From donations to swap shops and litter picks to support your community, there are lots of ways you can get involved with the project and help leave our city shining.
A Bin-credible year
Now in its 12th year, we want to continue to build on all of the incredible donations and reduce waste in the city even further. Here’s what we achieved last year…
The Countdown is on: The Big End of Year Clear Out
The time has come to start thinking about clearing out your houses/halls/rooms and getting ready for your next step, whether that’s moving down the road or taking the leap to a new adventure. Leave Liverpool tidy is back, in collaborating with British Heart Foundation and Fareshare, to help make your clear out a little bit easier – and more sustainable!
Here is your guide to donating this summer:
The way it works is quite simple, if you’re leaving Liverpool, you gather all the stuff that you do not wish to move to your new place (such as clothes, kitchen equipment, or housing decorations or tinned food), and bring them -using a reusable bag- to one of our drop-off points and fixed donation points and ourselves, BHF and Fareshare will collect them to be repurposed.
Donations Dos and Don’ts
Top Tip: Make sure all items are clean and dry ready to be recycled!
You can leave bagged items in the following permanent on-site donation bank locations:
Outside at Vine Court, Dover Court, Greenbank, and Peach Street Car Park
Look out for the LLT pop up drop off points in your Halls receptions to make it really easy for you to donate.
We are working hard to make sure there are lots of ways you can easily donate your items and we will continue to update the page with donation points.
If you live in Kensington or Smithdown, our Guild team will be out to collect your donation on the 27th and 28th June. Please make sure all donations are left outside your house by 11am and ready for collection.
We will be collecting donations that are left out and we will have drop off points in your areas. On 27th June you can also drop off your items at Kensington Fields and Wavertree Sports Centre
LLT Pop Up Drop Off Points will be located in Guild Reception and University Halls so you can drop off before you head out!
